Linking in Framesets

Page 2 — The Big Top

Loading a document into a brand new page — one that doesn't have any frames on it at all — is as easy as grabbing a new little dessert plate when you're done with the main course. Just change the link, so the target="_top". This will load a new page over the "top" of your current frameset.

So your link would look like this:

    <a href="chocolatecake.html" target="_top">

And you'd get a brand new page that looks something like this:

If you want to get really fancy, you can even load documents into two different frames at once. But I'll leave it to Luke to tell you how it's done.
