tail

Structure: tail [options] [file]

The tail command will print the last ten lines of a file. tail is often used with the option -f, which tells tail not to quit at the end of file and instead follow the file as it grows. Use ctrl-C to exit this command. This is very useful if you need to track a file - production editors often use this command to tail our error logs. This gives us insight into exactly what an error is while it's happening so we can fix it quickly.
